Alterations

Are fittings available in your store?

Yes! Fittings are by appointment on dresses purchased at our store. The seamstresses meet with you in our store but are self-employed contractors. To schedule an appointment, call 616-261-9030.

How much time is needed for alterations?

The first fitting for bridal gowns should be 6-8 weeks before the wedding. Bridesmaids, flowergirls, and special occasion dresses should be schedule 3-4 weeks before the wedding. Each fitting is given 1/2 hour. Please be prompt!

Is there a charge for alterations?

There is a charge for alterations. The price can vary due to the many unique styles, beadwork, designs, and fit of each gown.

What do I have to bring to my fittings?

To ensure the best fit of your gown, it is important that you have your own bra, slip, and shoes with you. Each item can change the fit of your dress. Please make sure that you have your own items at the time of your fitting. We do not loan them out!
