BG Bride: Krystal

Wedding Date: June 18, 2016

"We planned our wedding in 6 months and went for a 1950s inspired look. I wanted sparkles and lace and soft pinks and gold. My husband chose different style hats for all of his groomsmen - fedoras, newsboys, panamas, etc."

Krystal's Shopping Experience:

"My mother, aunt, bridesmaids, and I headed to Bridal Gallery in Grand Rapids. My dress appointment was with Rachel and she offered to grab a few dresses for me to try on that she knew would ship in time for our wedding date. The very first one I tried was the one I ended up purchasing for the wedding! I didn't even want to try on another dress! It was a gorgeous Mori Lee ballgown and everyone else loved it too. It is true when they say you will know when you have found the perfect dress. The funny thing is, Rachel found my perfect dress for me! My bridesmaids all found their dresses at the Bridal Gallery as well on that same day."

"Our wedding day was perfect! We did have a scare as everyone was at the church and getting ready. My husband and I have three children together. Our daughters were the flower girls and our baby boy was the ring bearer. Well, the girls were running around the church playing (in their dress shoes) when my four year old daughter took a tumble down the concrete steps and ended up with a golf ball sized bump on her head! That was the only moment of the entire day where I started to panic. Luckily, I have a lot of nurses in the family and my photographer's husband is a firefighter. So she was all checked out and given an ice pack to hold on her head. We had a half hour before the wedding started. Thank God we didn't have to rush our daughter to the ER for stitches and postpone the wedding! When it was time to start the wedding, my daughter was back to herself, and walked down the aisle with a smile on her face, throwing petals as if nothing had ever happened!

We had such a fun group in our wedding party! I will always remember walking around downtown Kalamazoo in my wedding dress with the whole wedding party for our pictures. It was hot that day in the mid 80s, but you couldn't tell from our photos that we were melting! We had a blast! My wedding day was more than I could have ever imagined it to be!"
